Many people have this misconception that body fat is a bad thing, because when we say that we have become overweight, the first thing that we think of is that we need to burn fat. The key here is that fat is essential for proper human bodily function. It’s the excess of fat that is a bad thing. In fact, if you have too little fat on your body, you are considered underweight. There are two types of fats. There are good fats and there are bad fats. One kind of fat that is good for you is what is commonly known as the omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 fatty acid plays a critical role in the upkeep of the human body’s immune system and can be found in many foods like eggs, walnuts, some produce, and fish.
